On Tuesday morning we had the pleasure of watching our Electronic Media professor take a photo of himself in Photobooth, drag it into Photoshop, and make himself into a very loose Captain America. This was a pretty fantastic beginning to the year and our first (known) assignment for this class is also pretty wonderful.
From what we know so far, we are to create a poster for anything we'd like, any which way we'd like. I finally decided to do a promotional poster for Bon Iver. I feel like there is a lot of interesting subject matter I could include in a poster of this nature and I've a fairly good idea of where I'd like to go with it. I'm feeling very inspired by Jason Munn @ The Small Stakes. I'll complete this black and white drawing and scan it into Photoshop, where I'll apply different colours and textures to the different elements of the composition. I'm also going to do a simple background of winter snow and dormant trees.
As if I'm not stressed enough, I've got to draw/paint/button/string/anything 90 2.5" x 4" cats by next Friday for Interpretive. Yes, cats! 90! The most I could bring myself to do this afternoon was buy and cut the paper to start on this request tomorrow. Here's the stack if you're having trouble comprehending how daunting this task is.
I edit my posts a lot.
